Animo Inglewood Hosts a Tour for Locke Students

Locke High School students traveled across Los Angeles to Animo Inglewood, one of the first Green Dot schools. They had an opportunity to experience a day in the life of Green Dot students so that they could envision what Locke will be like in the fall.

The Locke students showed this video at a fashion show held on campus. The fashion show also featured videos of Locke students asking questions about life at a Green Dot School, and had videos of Green Dot students answering their questions.

"What is the difference between a Green Dot School and a regular public school?"- Frances, 12th grader at Locke High School

"At a Green Dot school, they make sure that they pay attention to every child individually."
- Marcus, Animo Locke Tech Charter High School

"You feel safer. It literally is just like at home, and you feel like you're at home. The teachers aren't just your teachers, they can be your friends.  During class you have to respect them and follow the rules, but after class, you can talk to them about whatever it is that you need to talk about."
- Stephanie, Animo Inglewood Charter High School

"The school is really small.  It really feels like we're a family because we all know each other."
- Yuslic, Animo Locke Tech Charter High School

"At a Green Dot school, I feel like I'm at home.  My teachers really welcome me, and they make me feel like I'm comfortable around them.  Whatever I do, they dont' judge me, they just tell me when I'm wrong and correct me, and it makes me feel like there's no better place."
- Shante, Animo Locke Tech Charter High School
