Next week you will be taking the California Standards Tests (CST).  These exams are very important to you and our school.  You will be tested on the knowledge you have learned all year.  The exams test four content areas:  social studies, math, science and English language arts.  It is important that you show up on time each day of testing. You have been divided into a testing group.  Make note of your testing group and report to that teacher beginning on Monday, May 7th, 2007. 

What to bring:

o       A novel to read when you are finished

o       A bottle of water

o       A positive attitude

REWARD: If you are on your best behavior during each of the 6 days of testing you will receive a reward.

      Students who meet the criteria will earn free dress for the whole week of June 18th – June 22nd. 

Make note of the testing rules:

ü      You must be ON TIME every day.

ü      Come in quietly and sit in your seat.

ü      You must bring a reading book every day!

ü      When you are finished with a test, begin reading your book quietly.

ü      No cell phones or other electronic devices can be used during testing.

ü      You may not use a calculator, a dictionary or a thesaurus during the tests.

ü      You must stay focused and try your best!

 Please be sure to get a good nights rest and have a healthy breakfast everyday.  Give it your best!
