Student Recruitment/Enrollment Assistant

Green Dot Public Schools, the leading public schools operator in Los Angeles and an important catalyst for education reform in the State of California, is looking for a Student Recruitment Assistant to help parents enroll their students in Green Dot schools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand Green Dot student recruitment and enrollment policies and practices.
  • Communicate with parents, students and stakeholders Green Dot enrollment policies
  • Facilitate enrollment process
  • Maintain enrollment data & information (including database, website, etc.)
  • Provide administrative support for all student recruitment activities
  • Provide administrative support for all community organizing activities
  • Translate documents from English to Spanish and vice versa
  • Additional duties as assigned

REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • MS Office products such as MS Word and Excel.
  • Spanish - speaking skills are a must. Reading and writing are preferred.
  • Knowledge of community organizing, outreach and advocacy, grassroots marketing and/or political campaigns a plus

REQUIRES ABILITY TO:

  • Work effectively and collaboratively in a "start-up" environment.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forums in English and Spanish
  • Interact effectively with others using excellent interpersonal skills (excellent customer service orientation)
  • Handle a variety of tasks. Set priorities to successfully complete them.
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects in a timely and effective manner.
  • Exercise discretion in the dissemination of information.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

2 years in a customer service oriented field.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma required, AA and/or Bachelor's degree a plus
  • All candidates must pass drug screening and background checks.
